Thoughts on the m2 pro vs m3 pro?

I would too, if they hadn’t made the decision to make F1-F3 exclusively device-swapping keys. Anyone using the Apple ecosystem doesn’t need to swap devices - universal control.

For years I had a third Generation 12.9 Pro. I considered myself a casual user mainly because my primary purpose that I use my iPad is for UA-cam Videos, Banking, and checking my email. I decided when purchasing a new iPad to save 500 dollars and purchased the new Air iPad. However, UA-cam is my primary daily entertainment and I’m on it allot. The new Air IPad sound quality wasn’t as good as my third generation Pro iPad. And the actual viewing area on the Air is smaller. So I return the new IPad Air and upgraded to the M4 13 inch Pro. Yes, I paid an extra 500 dollars but considering how long i go without upgrading my iPad I believe it is worth it. The audio on the M4 Pro is great. I am also looking forward what IOS 18 enhancement that the M4 will fully support. This year I’ve been using Chat GPT a whole lot that IOS 18 will link to Siri.

But how many people complained about tablet thickness or screen brightness? I do hear complaining about scratch resistance, cost, multi-tasking, and iOS limitations and it seems like they have done little to adress those concerns. The vast majority of users don't need this iPad Pro M4.

I want to star professional photography and I've been thinking about getting the Pro for the editing because looks way cleaner than my Laptop, plus the laptop makes my backpack feel so unnecessarily heavy

The glass on the screen of these devices is terribly susceptible to scratcking from basically anything that touches it. Very small suspended particles of dust or sand or dirt can get cough on the tip of the pen and you go right in and rub it against the screen, damaging it. Trying to prevent this is extremely difficult, it would take you cleaning the screen and the tip of the Apple Pencil every time before using them. Not so difficult to be done but much annoying if you want a device to be easy to grab and use right off the bet like most tablets out there. And, just like you said, with a screen protector it would not feel the same to use the Pencil. A complete rich people's problem 😅

I can't find the comment where someone said it's crazy how much software needs to run under emulation including LibreOffice. LibreOffice is available for ARM. People need to check before ranting.

I'm so sick and tired of people who keep insisting that the iPad NEEDs to HAVE a traditional desktop-based OS. I've used Windows convertibles for years and I now use a Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360. Believe me, Windows as a tablet OS sucks. If you think that Apple has not tried to merge tablet usability with Mac OS you don't know Apple.

If you have a 1TB Mac, it WILL last you 10+ years no problem (as far as SSD "health" is concerned). Modern SSDs are much more durable than a lot of people seem to think

Does WoA support customisability tools such as SecureUXThemePatcher and ExplorerPatcher? I’ve been using both of them on my Surface Laptop for years, and I find Windows to be almost unusable without. I’ve been looking at this new surface as its successor, since I’d like to ditch it for better performance and better battery. But, if I can’t overcome Windows’ shortcomings, then it’s an immediate no.

So the takeaway from this appears to be that these snapdragon elite laptops are "okay" but there's some caveats with app compatibility, battery life is a bit better but not stunningly so and there's no real "killer app" with most of the AI features being either fluff (co-creator) or unrealised. It's disappointing that the copilot app launched by the dedicated copilot button is just a PWA with no access to local resources, rather than an on-device application. Coming soon I guess? Seems to be a solid 'wait for second gen devices' situation, as I'm not seeing anything that really differentiates them from x86/x64 Windows laptops. Well except working sleep, which tbh is enough of a killer feature! :)

It's great that the video focus on real world use. How does the M3 air perform with editing multiple 4k timelines in Da Vinci Resolve? For such a task would you recommend the air or the M3 pro MB pro?

I've read on reddit many people claiming great 15-20hrs battery life. Windows has many settings like power plans, debloat windows etc that you can tweak for better battery life. But this review is claiming opposite. Maybe he tracked battery life of heavy testing and heavy softwares like blender? Or his model has some faults?

Only Problem :- Reflection, No stylus support, Not verg good for gaming,......

honestly, what we need is new battery technology. That's it. Replace our powerful x86 laptops with the new tech

Ah. Saw the title. Then saw all of your apple videos. Not surprising. Of course there's some growing pains. But it's 90% there for most people and a couple months away of getting most apps updated. The title should read "an incredibly promising start" or "a very bright future"

I think you mentioned in the video that the SSD storage is removable that means user upgradeable. Is that true? cause I heard that the Microsoft surface pro only allows to upgrade the storage via micro sd card.

No USB and HDMI ports, less and unexpandable RAM and ROM, Fan based low performance, and less battery capacity in Snapdragon processor-based laptops but they have whopping prices, it sucks.
