The biggest update would be that the Apple let iPads run macOS or macOS tablet mode. Otherwise the Microsoft tablets would be much more superior, since they can run pc apps. On the other hand, putting a computer chip into a tablet and prohibiting it from being used as a computer simply does not make any sense

until it runs macOS it will never replace a MacBook... essentially 99.99% of what you can do on this iPad you can do on a regular iPad because of the OS ... you still get the same mobile operating system designed for iPhone with a few extra features but nothing that takes advantage of the M4 chip...the screen is really only needed for those working on high-end media content, especially outside - otherwise the screen in the older iPad pros and the iPad airs are great for again the vast majority of users. Still spending £1k+ and you still need to use a screen protector...hmm the iPad pro m4 is a very niche device that is extremely hard to recommend -- the only people that should be buying it are the professionals that must have that screen...anyone else buying it either has far too much money, must have the latest apple products, or didn't fully understand what they were buying

i'm in apple's locked garden yet i'm still locked out. that sucks. thanks apple well i'm on a iphone 13 plan that im half way still paying. but most or all of the best features will be on iphone 15 pro just makes me sick. there is no way ill be running to my telephone provider to trade in my ip13 at a massively reduced price just to get the ip15 pro so for me im sh!t out of luck..... now im wondering if my m1 will suffer the same.

The biggest issue was strong-arming iPhone users to update to iPhone 15 Pro or higher iteration if someone does not already have one. Without that, they cannot use those new iPhone features. From the last time I checked, the iPhone 15 Pro costs $999. For those that got the iPhone 14 Pro with the hope of holding it for 3-4 years, they just got outcasted from the new benefits.

Can’t wait for the head to head between the arm window computer and the m3! I’d like to get an idea of how capable both are with large excel spreadsheets with lots of random variables (eg running my own Monte Carlo simulation). My personal laptop is a 2015 MacBook Pro and I’m upgrading this year. The work-issued laptop is a 12th gen intel evo i5 Lenovo (16gb ram) and it can’t handle excel when I start manipulating data.

The switch to the NeXT system (from the old Mac System) to create OSX was by far a bigger, more dramatic change for the Macintosh computer line. Yeah, yeah, I know, there are many more Apple computer devices these days so "biggest" is a claim that can be used, since iPhone and iPad and Apple TV did not exist back in the day.

Man, that Apple Watch charger can be a pain. I have two; the first was from Satechi, with the same issue you mention. The second I believe is from Aukey. Saw it in a video and ordered it. It was mainly for use with my iPad Pro 11 Gen 2 with a case. You definitely have to get one with a more accommodating port, if you’re having this type of problem.

Just picked up 12.9 m2 13” 512gb for 999 and got Magic Keyboard for another $270. Hopefully Apple doesn’t throttle my hardware with updates lol, if that’s the case I’ll upgrade in 2 years.

I don't have an iPad, but I love the idea of the dual-Iayer OLED display. I was wondering if anyone with the 13" M4 could share what the display and unit overall feels like after an hour or two of heavy use (CPU/GPU)... specifically the operating temperature (not the color temp of the dispIay). Does it get really warm?

The super slim design of the MacBook Air makes for a more advanced laptop compared to the MacBook Pro. Considering that the mase model MacBook Pro doesn't outperform the MacBook Air by that much, the MacBook Air represents the ideal portable computer as it is thinner, more portable, more compact, etc. The MacBook Air is more futuristic. I think in the near future all the MacBook laptops will be the same thickness (as thin as possible), and the price tag will differ based on the specs and screen size. A larger laptop (larger screen size) might require it to be ever so slightly thicker (as you see with the MacBook Air 15 inch compared to the 13 inch), though proportionally speaking, they have the same futuristic slimness. Advances in technology will yield thinner laptops; you can observe the trend of how technology becomes more compact over time. I think in the future the thickness of the laptop will simply be limited by the port sizes, in order to accommodate the charging/connection ports, and also by the strength of the material used for the computer.

for one I thought the iPad Air was supposed to be the thinnest iPad not the pro if anything don't you think the Pro should reflect the MacBook Pro. 2 I remember when the iPad was 350$ now it's 2,000$ and still just does the same thing that the 350$ iPad did just a little better with apps that are useful sure but nothing to justify the 2,000$ price tag. I use my android more then my iPad because it gives me more of a feel between a tablet and a computer, and the new iPad Pro has an M4 chip and all they could give use was a calculator????? REALLY!! come on Apple??? The iPad Pro now cost more then a Mac with the extras and all they could give us was a calculator??? The only thing that could justify the price of the new iPad Pro for me is if they put Mac OS on it when conected to the the keyboard and an iPad when it is not. They can disable the touch capability then conected to the keyboard that doesn't bother me, and if it has an M4 in it there's no reason they can't do that. but it not it doesn't justify the price going from 350$ to 2,000$(+) I won't be getting the new iPad Pro until they offer us something more than a CALCULATOR. REALLY DISAPPOINTED IN APPLE ON THIS ONE.....

I have a Samsung TV and i don't have any of the problems that you mention. I have a "high end" model though, they usually have better chips than the cheaper models so maybe that's why.

I have always used Apple TV as a projector only enthusiast. I find it to be indispensable and good value.

If you're trying to sell a speaker then why aren't you showing us the frequency response? It used to be that every single speaker would have it in every consumer would be knowledgeable enough to just look at it and at least get a bare minimum of what that thing will sound like. And now you're playing Fancy music and spitting dials and speaking in a soft voice when that is obviously completely and utterly irrelevant. Why don't you advertise your videos and tell people that the video that they're going to see is a complete and utter waste of time?

Computer user since 1978, now retired with an iPad M1, it does 70% of what I want, but wish I could use it same as my Mac Mini, for people retired that would be a big help instead of still having to maintain a Mac OS system.
